I wasn't sure what to expect with that warning in the blurb.Glad I decided to pick it up and give it a read.It reads in a familiar way to Daniel Black's works. If you liked Fimbulwinter, you'll like this one.Guaranteed.

A good interesting read. Some good fight action, a bit of politics thrown in, and then what seems to be becoming the standard for heroes, is the obligatory harem of 'monster' girls.I enjoyed the story, though I can find some similarities between this and Aleron Kings series, The Land, but all in all a good enjoyable read.I would be interested to find out if there is going to be a sequel to this book.

Fabulous world building combined with action and hot eroticism!!! Vince is normal from the outside but he has hidden powers. I loved how he kept collecting more and mutant women for his harem without actually having set out to do so. The wives just take over and "what's a guy to do?" This was truly enjoyable science fiction!! Can't wait for the next one!!! Oh and btw the sex is an integral part of the storyline and not unnecessary as some have complained to the author!! I would advise they not read this sort of book instead of complaining!!! Please keep the kinky sex coming!!!

Ever dove into a book not expecting much but, somewhere along... a quarter into the book you realize, "Dam, this book here is pretty Bad Ass!" ? Well, this book was like that for me. Though at times it can get extremely explicit, overall I still thought this book was a pretty good read. A different twist to most other post post apocalyptic books I've read. However, I will warn anyone who is considering reading this book, that (in my opinion) this book is written mainly for male audience. I mean, with the whole harem theme and all.

I found this book by chance and thought it looked interesting, I wasn't disappointed. The plot is very interesting, just what I expect from a post apocalypse book with a harem thrown into the storyline. I enjoyed the naughty bits of the storyline, loved that the author used atypical non-humans for these parts and in the book in general. Hope that there will more in this series to come soon

How great is this writer? Well, I just read about a man having sex with an ant-centaur and I liked it. Mind you, I'm choosing to imagine Petra looking like the mosquito girl from "One-Punch Man." I read all three books and thoroughly (guilty pleasure) enjoyed it.I have to reduce the star, because while the grammar/punctuation errors are minimal it does distract me. Pulling me out of the fantasy. That could just be me. I also think Vince gets a little wordy in the second book. Going so far as to over explain things. For example, in the beginning of the third book he leaves abruptly while explaining he doesn't care. You know who explains? People who care. A "Deuces" and leaving would have sufficed. Explaining it to his harem afterwards would have been more apropos, because he does care about his girls. I could give other examples, but without giving away too many spoilers. I'm just nitpicking, though.Now for personal reasons. I believe this book would have been better if Randi continued Vince's world travels, almost like "The Witcher" and have him transition from lone apex-predator to opening-up as he encountered more girls, but still maintaining his grisly attitude to those outside his personal circle (while the world imploded around him). The whole city-builder thing felt convenient and forced at the same time. That's just me, though.Overall, great book!

This book was engaging from the get go. A lot of the self published list takes a while to really hook my interest, mostly because of sentence structure and wording. This one is well constructed, with enjoyable characters and well laid out action, interaction and "interaction". Always good to see an author pay as much attention to the sensual side of "adult themes" as the blood and guts. Makes for a fuller, better story.I did feel like the pacing sped up a little much in the last third of the book, and the motivations for adventuring in general are a little questionable. But overall, great story, and looking forward to future installments.

Wild Wastes was a surprisingly enjoyable read and fully deserving of all the 5-star reviews that the book has received. The author did a fantastic job in fleshing out an apocalyptic world and creating a strong MC through which the readership can explore this new world.The only problem for me is that I felt the writer went slightly overboard in trying to build a perfect harem for the MC and that became the character's primary focus rather than dealing with the overarching conspiracy that the MC found himself in the middle of. I think the author should have spent more time fleshing out the conspiracy but otherwise, Wild Wastes was almost perfect as a novel.
