It's said to be the best one out there, and I believe that's true. But I could do with fewer pictures and anecdotes and more hard info. However, a used copy is inexpensive, and it'll do.
really like this book. I have MS and with one of my flair ups I lost a lot of the dexterity in my hands so I thought rug braiding would help me try to get some of it back. This book has great instructions and lots of different designs. Have fun!
Wonderful book. I'm very excited to start work on a project. It's clear and well-written.
Although this book is very attractive, I was disappointed, as I often am with "how to" books, in that the authors are so expert and know their subject so well they cannot or do not put themselves in the position of the neophyte. If you already know how to create a braided rug but need more expert guidance, this is a good book for you. Otherwise, it is too difficult.The Braided Rug Book: Creating Your Own American Folk Art
The book is an excellent reference. But I should have looked closer at the actual book......five or six pictures were cut out.
This is a wonderful book. Great illustrations and I can't wait to follow a pattern I particularly like.
