Even though this book was written long ago, the advice it contains is still relevant and extremely useful. By the time I finished reading it, I had doggy-eared probably half the book! Some parts were a little hard to understand because of the era it was written, but I just kept reading and found it very helpful. Gives concrete examples on how to apply the suggestions! (and there are many, from how to improve your confidence in speaking, to improving your opening and closing, to how to keep your audience interested and more!)Will keep and read probably 3-4 more times or more in the next few years.Great book!
I read this book 50 yrs ago and as patronizing as it is, it is still a winner. Mr Dale Carnegie knew how to disarm all comers.
A classic. As old as it is, it is never dated.
I joined a ToastMasters club and ordered this book to help me with the numerouse speeches I am required to give. It was a great help and reinforced some of my own natural abilities. The stories of other successful speakers were very enlightening. There were several books he recommended reading and I bought some of them. They also proved to be great reading. Great buy!

Excellent book - great content. Was expecting a little better cover. Looked like it was a fixed version of a dog chewin . . . But the pages were ok - a bit rumpled. Book was great if you could over look the crumpled-ness.
